“…And they all felt a little warmer.” A4 print
This collage was inspired by one of my favorite children’s books, Frederick, by Leo Leonni. The title is a line from the book when the mice are cold and have eaten their stored stock of food, then remember the “supplies” that Frederick had stored up over the summer months- colours, words, light.
It is a beautiful ode to artists and poets and speaks to how necessary art is during the dark, cold winter months. Artists show us, remind us, of what light and warmth feel like in the bleakest of times- literally and metaphorically.
I’ve been filling my winter with inspiring art and, as signs of spring start to show themselves, I’m so grateful for those who faithfully put their art into the world!
The original collage, made with found papers, was sold last year, but I have a few prints available.
Image is approx. 16 (w) x 23 (l)cm printed onto A4 card for easy framing.
